Parking & Transportation Updates: February 2021

Remote work will remain the preferred option for Pitt faculty and staff for the month of February. If you are a permit holder and are currently working remotely for the foreseeable future, then you have the option to temporarily suspend your parking permit for the month. Please note that this suspension is time-sensitive and must be completed by February 3, 2021.

While remote work is the preferred option for Pitt faculty and staff, some employees may be required to return to campus. If you are planning to come to campus and are not a University permit holder, please be advised that our daily parking rates have been reinstated. View our operational parking locations, daily rates, and payment methods below.

Place a Hold on Your Parking Permit

If you are not returning to campus in February, you have the option to put your parking permit on hold and not be charged for the month. Putting your permit on hold does not mean you lose your permit, nor does it mean you will be placed on the waitlist for parking permits. Additionally, if you choose to place your permit on hold, you will not be required to return your permit.

If you would like to put a hold on your permit, please complete the Faculty/Staff Permit Payroll Deduction Request Form by February 3, 2021 to ensure it is processed for the upcoming month. Phone and email requests cannot be accepted at this time.

If your permit is placed on hold, but you decide to come to campus in January, your permit will not be valid. However, you will be able to use daily campus public parking. Rates for daily parking are posted on the ParkMobile app and onsite.

Please check our site for additional information regarding parking permits as the University's response to COVID-19 continues to evolve.
