University Managed Print Services

The University of Pittsburgh Business, Hospitality and Auxiliary Services through the Office of Copier Administration has awarded a service agreement to Doing Better Business (DBB). As of June 1, DBB is responsible for providing repair service and supplies for the current University fleet of Ricoh multifunction‐print equipment. This service agreement will support the University office print operations while we transition to our new office print provider, Canon, over the next 12 months.  The existing copier program recovers cost based on the meter reads that the Ricoh copiers report through a monthly IDC. Service and supplies are provided at no additional expense (paper excluded).

For repair service and supplies, please call (800) 456‐1977 or email firsttouch@doingbetterbusiness.com with the following information:

  • Ricoh Model and Equipment ID
  • Department Name, Building, and Room Number
  • Contact Name and Phone Number
  • Supply description if requesting a supply item

DBB will replace the Ricoh service tag when they complete your first service call. Then, you may use the DBB Equipment ID to request repair service and supplies.

University Managed Print Services Print Assessment

With the help of Canon, our newly appointed office print provider, we are now performing campus-wide print assessments. Please feel free to review our progress or see when we will be in your building.

Office Print Assessment Request Procedure:

Step 1: Find your building in the Assessment Building Schedule and make note of the booking date range.

Step 2: Select the appropriate person to complete our Office Print Survey. Only one person should fill out the survey per department, even if your department spans over multiple floors in the same building. If your department is split over multiple buildings, a survey should be completed for each building. When the survey is submitted, the person who filled out the survey and the IT person listed in the survey will receive an emailed copy.

Request your survey link now.

Step 3: The person who filled out the survey will receive a second email request to book our onsite visit through Microsoft Bookings. Follow the link, and then search for and select your building. The assessment dates noted from step one will help you find available meeting dates. Additional details pertaining to the University Managed Print Services Program will be discussed during our onsite visit.
