Placing Your Permit On Hold

Faculty/Staff who have hybrid schedules are going on temporary leave, or only work specific months of the year have the option to place their parking permit on hold and stop payroll deductions for the months they will not need parking.

To place your permit on hold, you must:

  • Return your hangtag to the Parking Services Office
  • Provide authorization to stop payroll deductions before the third business day of the month you would like to place your permit on hold. If you place your permit on hold after the third business day, you will pay for parking that month.
  • Complete and submit the online payroll deduction form or stop by the Parking Services Office to complete the form in person.

To reactivate your parking, you must notify the Parking Services Office. See below for details.

Reactivating Your Permit

To reactivate your permit, you must:

  • Provide authorization
  • Begin payroll deductions by or before the third business day of the month. If you reactivate after the third business day, you will be required to pay a prorated amount for the remaining days of the month out of pocket, with payroll deductions beginning the following month.
  • Complete and submit the online payroll deduction form to start your deductions or visit the Parking Services Office to complete the form in person.

If you visit campus while your permit is on hold, please be advised that daily parking rates have been reinstated. Visit Visitor and Daily Parking and/or ParkMobile for parking opportunities and daily rates.
