Whether you are a Pitt student, faculty, or staff member, you must create a Healthy Ride account to access your Healthy Ride benefit.

Faculty & Staff

University of Pittsburgh employees must use their Pitt login credentials and unique Healthy Ride voucher code that was emailed to them in August 2021 (Subject: “Healthy Ride at Pitt”) to create and/or activate their Healthy Ride account. If you joined the University after August 2021, use your University email address to request a voucher code from HealthyRide at healthyride@pitt.edu.

Account Activation Instructions 

  • Keep the voucher code near you as you register for your Healthy Ride account online.
  • After you enter your information, select "Pay-As-You-Go."
  • Next, you will be prompted with a Terms and Conditions screen. If you agree to the Terms and Conditions, you will be asked to enter a payment method.
  • You must link a payment method in the event that your ride exceeds 30-minutes or if you wish to add a second bike to your ride. 
  • When your account is created, select “Voucher” in the Account Setting and enter your unique Pitt voucher code.

Once you have activated your account with your unique voucher code, you’re ready to start riding! 

Already have a Healthy Ride account? Visit healthyridepgh.com and log in to your account. First, verify that the email linked to your account is your University email. If it is not, change it to your University email address. Next, select "Vouchers" and enter your unique voucher code. Ensure you have attached a payment method to your account and that all of your demographic information is up-to-date. Once you've updated your profile, you're ready to ride! 

Note: Account voucher codes from the 2020-2021 academic year are now expired. Riders who are using codes from the 2020-2021 academic year will need to enter the new code that they received via their University email in August 2021.

Undergraduate & Graduate Students

Both undergraduate and graduate students must use their Pitt email address and unique Healthy Ride voucher code that was emailed to them in August 2021 (Subject: “Healthy Ride at Pitt”) to create and/or activate their Healthy Ride account. Account Activation How-To

Verify Your Voucher Code Application

Sign in to the NextBike app on your smartphone to verify that you have applied the voucher code.

  • Click the menu tab at the top left corner of the screen next to the Healthy Ride logo to open the app navigation menu.
  • Select "Account Settings."
  • Select "Redeem Voucher."
  • Your Pitt voucher code will be displayed beneath the "Your Redeemed Vouchers" section. If you do not see your voucher below that section, then your voucher code has not been applied.
