Guidelines for Reporting a Lost or Stolen University License Plate for a Leased/University-Owned Vehicle
- If the license plate for your leased or university-owned vehicle is lost or stolen, report it immediately to the Fleet Services Office via email at fleetservices@bas.pitt.edu or by phone at 412-624-1415.
- Provide the following details:
- Date the plate was lost or stolen
- Location where the plate was lost or stolen
- Year, make, and model of the vehicle
- License plate number
- Your name, department, and contact information
- Provide as many details as possible
- If there is more than one license plate on the vehicle, remove it from the vehicle.
- Fleet Services will file a Police Report with the University of Pittsburgh Police Department.
- Fleet Services will apply for a new license plate for the vehicle and contact the department when the new license plate arrives.
