What safety precautions is Pittsburgh Regional Transit taking?

Pittsburgh Regional Transit is following an in-depth plan to support rider safety, including enhanced cleaning and sanitizing, in addition to providing the TrueTime System to view bus locations and capacities in real-time. Riders are encouraged to visit the PRT website for safety updates and trip planning tools. 

Permit Parking

If I am only working onsite for part of the week, can I get a discount on my monthly permit? 

We are currently evaluating options to provide permit parking flexibility. With this in mind, if you intend to come to campus in a hybrid schedule 1-2 days per week or work remotely, we encourage you to turn in your permit and reserve daily parking through ParkMobile.

Daily Parking

Where should I park for the day if I am driving to campus? 

Daily parking locations are located across campus, subject to availability, with rates varying by lot type and location. View maps of all parking locations

How do I access ParkMobile to make parking reservations prior to arriving on campus? 

ParkMobile provides contactless payments for daily parking at designated locations by downloading the free ParkMobile app in the app store, through the parkmobile.io website or by calling 1-877-727-5281 Learn how to use ParkMobile.

What happens if I am on the permit waitlist? 

As permits are turned in by those who no longer need them due to a hybrid or remote work schedule, we will continue to offer these to members of the waiting list, providing the same number of total permits.

Campus Shuttles

Are shuttles currently operating? 

Campus shuttles are fully operational with real-time GPS tracking throughout campus. 

What safety precautions are shuttles taking?  

Shuttles continue to follow COVID-19 safety protocols, including physical distancing, frequent cleaning, and the use of face coverings for all riders.
