Activate Your Benefit

Whether you are a Pitt student, faculty, or staff member, you must create a POGOH account to access your POGOH benefit.

Faculty & Staff

University of Pittsburgh employees must use their Pitt login credentials and unique POGOH voucher code that was emailed in August 2023 (Subject: “Your 2023-24 POGOH at Pitt Bike Share Promo Code”) to create and/or activate their POGOH account. If you joined the University after August 2023, use your University email address to request a voucher code from POGOH at ridePOGOH@pitt.edu.

Undergraduate & Graduate Students

Both undergraduate and graduate students must use their Pitt email address and unique POGOH promo code that was emailed to them in August 2023 (Subject: “Your 2023-24 POGOH at Pitt Bike Share Promo Code”) to create and/or activate their POGOH account. If you joined the University after August 2023, use your University email address to request a voucher code from POGOH at ridePOGOH@pitt.edu.

Account Activation Instructions

Current Account Holders Who Previously Used a Promo Code

Anyone who already has an account should follow these steps:

  1. Open PBSC app & login
  2. Select “Profile”
  3. Select “Edit Profile”
  4. Select “Purchase New Plan”
  5. Select “ Annual Membership” and go to next page
  6. Agree to terms/conditions and go to next page
  7. Verify your payment information and select “Update and Continue”
  8. Enter Promo Code & select “Place Order”
From Your Computer
  1. Keep the voucher code near you as you register for your POGOH account!
  2. Visit POGOH.com
  3. Click "Sign Up"
  4. On the Annual Membership, click "Learn More"
  5. Under the Annual Membership details, click "Sign Up"
  6. On the right side, enter your voucher in the "Promotional Code" box and click "Apply"
  7. Fill out the Customer Information and click "Continue to Payment Method"
  8. ​Fill out the Payment Information and review the User Agreement.
    • You must link a payment method in the event that your ride exceeds 30-minutes or if you wish to use an e-assist bike.
  9. Once complete, click "Agree and Subscribe"

Once you have activated your account with your unique voucher code, you’re ready to start riding!

From Your Mobile Device
  1. Keep the voucher code near you as you register for your POGOH account!
  2. Visit POGOH.com from your mobile device
  3. Tap "Sign Up"
  4. On the Annual Membership, tap "Learn More"
  5. Under the Annual Membership details, tap "Sign Up"
  6. At the top of the screen, tap "Your Cart" (with the cart icon and down arrow)
  7. Enter your voucher in the "Promotional Code" box and tap "Apply"
  8. Fill out the Customer Information and tap "Continue to Payment Method"​
  9. Fill out the Payment Information and review the User Agreement.
    • You must link a payment method in the event that your ride exceeds 30-minutes or if you wish to use an e-assist bike.
  10. Once complete, tap "Agree and Subscribe"

Once you have activated your account with your unique voucher code, you’re ready to start riding!

From the PBSC App
  1. Keep the voucher code near you as you register for your POGOH account!
  2. Download the PBSC app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  3. In the bottom right, tap the "Profile" icon
  4. Under "Account," tap "Sign Up"
  5. Enter your birthday
  6. Under Annual Membership, tap "Next"
  7. Review the Terms
  8. If you agree, tap the checkbox and tap "Next"
  9. Fill out the Member Info and tap "Next"
  10. Fill out the Payment Info and tap "Next" to review your order (don't worry - you won't be charged and will add your promo code in the next step!)
    • You must link a payment method in the event that your ride exceeds 30-minutes or if you wish to use an e-assist bike.
  11. Order Review: About to purchase the Annual Membership? Tap "Add Promo Code" first!
  12. Enter your voucher code and tap "OK"
    • Your cart should instantly update and reflect a discount of -$120**
  13. Once complete, tap "Place Order"

Once you have activated your account with your unique voucher code, you’re ready to start riding!

**If your cart does not instantly update to reflect a cost of $0 before you tap "Place Order", please reach out to Customer Support at 412.595.9421 for assistance with applying your promotional code.

Already have a POGOH account? Log in to your account at POGOH.com or the PBSC App. First, verify that the email linked to your account is your University email. If it is not, change it to your University email address. Next, select "Annual Membership" and enter your unique promo code at checkout. Ensure you have attached a payment method to your account and that all of your demographic information is up-to-date. Once you've updated your profile, you're ready to ride!

Note: Healthy Ride voucher codes received earlier will not work on the new POGOH system. Please only use the promo code you received in August 2023.

Verifying Your POGOH Account

Sign in to the PBSC App on your smartphone to verify that you’ve successfully applied your promo code.

  • Click the Profile at the bottom right of your screen
  • Select "Edit Profile"
  • Your Annual Membership will be displayed on your account and whether or not it is active. If no membership appears, you have not successfully applied your promo code. If it says pending, you may be missing vital information on your account. Review your account and payment information to ensure all required fields are filled in.
