Parents' Mailing Information
Mailing Items to a Student at the University
Parents are concerned with staying in touch when their sons and daughters are away at school. Although cell phones, e-mail, and instant messaging provide convenient ways to stay connected, there are times when only the mail can let you connect in more important, tangible ways.
Your daughter left her glasses at home and wants you to send them to her.
Aunt Linda and Uncle Henry are mailing an always-welcome birthday card and check (please do not send cash).
Final exams are approaching, and a care package of homemade cookies is a wonderful antidote for academic stress.
When mailing items to a residential student at the University of Pittsburgh, please be sure to always use proper addressing to ensure quick and accurate delivery. Include the student’s first and last name, and follow the address and zip code guidelines.
When sending mediations to students, please have your student inform the student mail center in advance that a shipment is expected. Please indicate on the outside of the package that medication is enclosed.
