We are committed to offering quality services in sustainable mobility. University shuttles operate daily to provide campus transportation, which reduces the need for additional vehicles in the community. Our agreement with Port Authority of Allegheny County offers bus and light rail transportation for students, faculty, and staff. In addition, carpool and vanpool ride-matching services are readily available to the Oakland community through Commuting Alternatives. For those who bike in Oakland, free bicycle racks are located throughout campus, as well as bicycle lockers, which are available for a nominal fee. In addition to the transportation modes outlined above, vehicles operating through the University’s Moving and Receiving Department and the shuttle system have implemented the use of biodiesel fuel.
