BUYING GAS AND OIL
Inside the Key case you will find gasoline credit cards that you may use to purchase gasoline, motor oil and other fluids required during the operations of the University vehicle. These cards may be used ONLY for this purpose.
In the unlikely event that you need to use cash because you cannot find or safely reach a gas station that accepts one of the credit cards supplied, you must obtain a receipt showing the date, location, amount of fuel or oil purchased and the total charge in order to be reimbursed.
You must return the vehicle to the Vehicle Rental Office with a full tank of gas (which is paid for by the Vehicle Rental Office when you use of the credit cards provided), or your department or University group will be charged $5.00 for refueling.

REPAIRS ON THE ROAD - REMOTE
If you are more than fifty miles from the University and the vehicle needs emergency service - such as repair of a flat tire or replacement of fan belt or light bulb - try to obtain the needed repair at a service station using one of the credit cards provided in the key case. If you cannot use one of these cards, be sure to get a receipt that shows the date, location, type of service and charge so that you can be reimbursed.
If the vehicle develops a mechanical problem, call Consolidated Services toll-free at 1-800-323-0637 and ask for assistance. You will be asked to tell the phone operator the University Vehicle Number (on the key case) and the nature of the problem. Consolidated Services will contact the Vehicle Rental Office before any repair exceeding $50 is authorized, and we will call you back with instructions.
